REUSCHE AT SGCD DECO 07
Crane – DECO 07 Vandenoever Award, “Best in show” and Award for Excellence in Design, specialty collectable on glass. This handcrafted original art by Hal Connelly was created by direct screen printing using 23 Reusche enamels. The reverse side was sand blasted leaving a clear circle for light transmission and slumped to form. The slumped panel was mounted in a patina coated bronze cast base that appears to be made of stone. The entire piece was then mounted on a mahogany base. Hal Connelly has been a serigraphic designer for 25 years. In addition to producing his original artwork, found in many Colorado galleries, Hal has produced limited edition prints for musical performer John Entwistle, in addition to southwestern artist, Earl Biss. As a valuable employee of Reusche & Co., producers of glass and ceramic enamels, Mr. Connelly continues to pursue many avenues in the glass and ceramic industry.
The Running Horse– DECO 07 Judges Award winner and Award for Excellence in Design, specialty innovation on glass. This unique, patented art form conceived by Eye Think Inc. President, Rufus Butler Seder is handcrafted from start to finish. Each animated mural is produced on lens-ribbed glass tile and appears to “come to life” as the casual observer strolls by.
LIFETILES can be found gracing the halls and walls of museums, zoos, aquariums, and other public places in the United States and abroad.
